
AES Indiana, a subsidiary of The AES Corp., has promoted Brandi Davis-Handy to chief account officer for AES US Utilities. His career includes two decades of leadership in communications, marketing, strategy and stakeholder engagement. During his seven years at AES, Davis-Handy led communications for US Utilities and the US business unit, most recently serving as public relations manager for US Utilities. Under his leadership will be the following units: Customer Service, Strategic Accounts, Utility Transformation, Customer Experience, Demand Management, Electrification and Economic Development.
Tanya Sovinski has been promoted to Senior Manager, Public Relations, AES US Utilities. She will oversee communications, stakeholder relations and community efforts for AES Indiana and Ohio. Sovinski has over 20 years of experience in strategic partnerships, marketing and communications in the private and not-for-profit sectors. She joined AES Indiana in 2016 and since then has helped grow AES Indiana’s community presence and maintain critical stakeholder relationships.
Additionally, Bryan Hylander was promoted to General Counsel, US Utilities and Conventional Generation. He previously served as Assistant General Counsel and spent 12 years of his career at AES managing various legal matters for the company. Hylander has successfully transitioned into his new role and continues to build a strong team culture, positioning the company for continued success.
Sharon Schroeder will lead the regulatory teams at AES Indiana and AES Ohio as Managing Director of Regulatory Affairs. She spent 26 years of her career with AES, and has extensive experience in our utilities, including state and FERC regulatory affairs, and strategic client accounts. Additionally, Schroeder gained experience in business development, community relations and sales while working for DPL Energy Resources, the retail subsidiary of AES.
