MELVILLE, NY, June 1, 2021 / PRNewswire / – American Veterans Group, a social impact investment bank, supports a USO Wisconsin program that helps currently serving military personnel and their spouses successfully manage their transition from military to civilian life.
American Veterans Group provided a $ 3,500 grant for the USO Pathfinder® Transition Program. The grant was made possible by the State of Wisconsin‘s decision to choose American Veterans Group as co-manager on a bond issued earlier this year.
“Support for the USO Wisconsin Pathfinder Transition® program aligns perfectly with our mission to help our service members find the paths to success after service, ”said Ben Biles, co-founder and CEO of American Veterans Group. “From the moment they put on uniform until the day they return to civilian life, USO Wisconsin is here and has an unprecedented record in supporting US military personnel and their families. ”
American Veterans Group devotes 25% of its revenue to supporting veterans causes. The Cabinet, Wall Street‘s first and only public utility, focuses its philanthropy on the communities where it and its clients do business. About 15 Wisconsin veterans are expected to benefit directly from the grant.
American Veterans Group was co-director of the State of Wisconsin‘s series A program, 118,750,000 USD Obligations to repay annual credits from the General Fund. The grant to USO Wisconsin is a direct result of the work done by the American Veterans Group on bond issuance.
“the State of Wisconsin included American Veterans Group as co-manager of the recent sale and issuance of General Fund loan repayment bonds. The issuance of these repayment bonds saved the state on debt service and USO Wisconsin was another recipient, ”said David Erdman, Chief Financial Officer of the State of Wisconsin.
USO Wisconsin‘s The Pathfinder Transition® program provides transitioning military personnel and military spouses with one-on-one support focused on education, employment, financial preparation, mentoring and navigating the benefits of VA. USO Transition Specialists spend the first two weeks working with transitioning members and military spouses to identify personal and professional goals, then help them create a roadmap to success.
“Group of American Veterans‘The support from s will go a long way in ensuring that the USO is able to reach more military personnel who need help finding financial leadership, educational counseling or a career that matches their skills, ”said Josh Sova, executive director of USO Wisconsin.
