The Friends of the Daviess County Public Library’s annual book sale begins Monday and ends October 3.
Customers can purchase a bag for $ 5 at the DCPL checkout and fill it with as many books as it can hold. Book carts will be located near the Kentucky Room on the first floor of the library. New carts will be added daily or while supplies last.
Proceeds from the sale will go directly to Friends of DCPL.
Those who can’t participate in the book sale but still want to support Friends can purchase an individual membership for $ 10 or a family membership for $ 20. Friends will also have T-shirts and boat tote bags available for purchase.
Funds raised by Friends are used to sponsor programs and special events organized by DCPL.
âFriends play a vital role in our ability to serve the community,â said Tiffani Henry, DCPL Public Relations Coordinator. “Often times they help provide funds that allow us to improve the programs we run, and in some cases without their help we wouldn’t be able to host certain events or functions.”
The Friends are community members in Daviess County and surrounding areas who are dedicated to promoting awareness of library resources, funding special library projects, and supporting the freedom to read.
