
Longwood Gardens getting ready for the holiday season.
The horticultural paradise will host its 2020 “A Longwood Christmas” display starting November 20. Over 500,000 lights will be used to illuminate over 100 trees and other displays in the gardens, with the festivities taking place both indoors and outdoors. There will also be thousands of poinsettias and other flowers, living wreaths of orchids and succulents, and even a spinning Fraser Fir.

The legendary Longwood Gardens light show also gets into the holiday action, with a special illuminated light show by the big lake and dancing fountains by the open-air theater. Add to that a tunnel of light, a model train and three fireplaces and you get a feel for the grandeur of this event.
“A Longwood Christmas” will run from November 20, 2020 to January 10, 2021. Admission must be purchased in advance for a specific date and time. Admission is $ 30 for adults, $ 27 for seniors and students, $ 23 for serving military personnel, $ 16 for youth (ages 5-18), and $ 2 for those holding a SNAP card , EBT or PA ACCESS. The gardens are free for children under 5, but you must still reserve a timed ticket for them. You can find out more and buy tickets at longwoodgardens.org.
Note, there are some restrictions due to COVID-19. All visitors must wear a face mask in indoor and outdoor areas, unless you are outdoors and can maintain a distance of six feet or more from others. Also keep an eye out for signs for one-way paths.
